MOD Rosneath and Barons Point are located in the southwest of Scotland on the Firth of Clyde.

Magnetic signatures are recorded, analysed and the static magnetic signature of steel surfaces optimised using these ranges. A 9m magnetic open sea range is installed at MOD Rosneath. The Barons Point range collects data from ships and submarines using sensors permanently laid on the seabed.
